Royal Wootton Bassett Methodist Church

Wootten Bassett

In 1824 Primitive Methodist preachers first visited Wootton Bassett and thus began the work of Christ under a Methodist banner. Firstly in a cottage, and then in 1831 two houses and a garden were bought on the present site and converted into a chapel. New buildings, major alterations and extensions have taken place over the years, but the church remains on the same spot today.
The worship of God and the extension of His Kingdom is central to the life and work of this very active community of believers.

Minister
